2026 fashion scholarship fund case study
The objective is to develop a collaborative assortment between a fashion brand and a non-fashion brand that showcases innovative opportunities in both product design and distribution.
Although the project was completely optional, I chose to take it on to challenge myself and gain more experience, showing my willingness to go beyond what’s required.
the foundation: research
Research really shaped every part of my Fashion Scholarship Fund case study. Before I even started designing or building the concept, I spent time diving into the brands, their audiences, and the culture around them. I wanted to understand what people actually cared about and where real opportunities existed for fashion to cross into another industry in a fresh, authentic way.
I looked at market data, trends, pricing, and even what was happening on social media to make sure every decision felt grounded in reality. Doing that research made the creative part so much stronger, it helped me connect the story, the product, and the strategy in a way that actually made sense for today’s fashion world.
the merchandising blueprint
The merchandising and collaboration side of my case study was where everything came together. After building the concept through research, I translated those insights into a real buying strategy, one that balanced creativity with numbers.
I created a six-month buying plan that projected sales, inventory flow, and product deliveries to support a smooth launch and steady momentum. My assortment plan focused on curating pieces that told a cohesive story, mixing statement items with accessible options so the collaboration felt both exclusive and wearable. The launch plan tied it all together with a clear timeline, marketing touchpoints, and drop strategies to build hype and keep interest alive beyond release day.
This section showed me how merchandising isn’t just about products, it’s about timing, storytelling, and creating an experience that connects with people.
