line sheet development

For this project, I was tasked with creating a full set of professional line sheets featuring original designs, custom patterns, and garment illustrations. All patterns and graphic elements were developed by hand using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as solo work.

I then applied these assets to a fictional collaboration between ACRONYM® and my own conceptual brand, ANTIFRAGILE, producing a Fall/Winter 2023 line sheet that reflects the technical, utilitarian aesthetic of ACRONYM® while integrating my own artistic direction.

skills demonstrated

    • Illustrator - Creating vector silhouettes, technical flats, repeat patterns.

    • Photoshop - Refining textures, manipulating source imagery, creating the Cologne Cathedral mood board

    • Examining the cathedral’s architectural motifs.

    • Creating a product that matches Acronym’s brand identity.

    • Developing a product that meets user needs.

    • Extracting hues from the Cologne Cathedral.

    • Applying cohesive colors in a palette throughout the collection.

    • Transforming architectural shapes into working, scalable textile patterns.

    • Structuing product information (SKU, fabric content, sizing, retail/whole pricing, ship dates) in a clean, industry-standard layout.

The process

I began by selecting a place of inspiration: the Cologne Cathedral and built a detailed moodboard of its architecture, textures, and colors.

Using these references, I extracted geometric forms from the cathedral’s spires and stained-glass lines, then developed them into repeatable shapes and surface patterns in Illustrator.

Next, I chose ACRONYM® as my collaboration brand due to its technical outerwear, industrial construction, and minimalist visual identity.

I created my own brand concept, ANTIFRAGILE, whose visual direction leans darker, sharper, and more experimental, making it a natural pairing for a design-driven collaboration.

Using the custom patterns I developed, I hand-illustrated every garment silhouette in Illustrator, including pieces such as:

  • Dri-Fit Cropped Tank

  • Peripheral Crossbody Bag

  • Insulated Puffer Jacket

  • Cargo Trouser

  • Utility Vest

  • Organic Sweatpant

  • Air Jet Wool Hat

  • Windstopper Jacket

For each item, I incorporated:

  • Specific fabrics used by ACRONYM® (e.g., Gore-Tex®, PrimaLoft®, Schoeller® Dryskin™)

  • Retail and wholesale pricing

  • Shipping dates

  • SKU codes, inspired by ACRONYM®’s naming conventions

  • Colorways based on my custom palette

final thoughts

This project strengthened my ability to design with a brand’s DNA in mind while still expressing my own aesthetic. I learned how to build patterns from real-world references, create cohesive product families, and format line sheets that feel polished, industry-ready, and commercially realistic.

It also deepened my understanding of how design inspiration can translate into functional apparel and how collaborations can merge identities to create something new.
